Hi Hardy, Mimi and other interested list members,
The Dr.Zalocziecki Str. is not named after the physician but after his
brother, a very famous art historian and collector, more famous than the
physician. in the "old" Czernowitz.. in my youth I knew both brothers,
because Dr.Rosl Samet-Zalicziecki was the best friend of my cousin, Else
Krams-Gross, a famous pianist, who later lived in Vienna, emigrated after
the "Anschluss"to England, gave concerts for the soldiers in WW ll, than
was professor on the Academy of Music in London, for 25 years...
A pity that the musical "veine" of my family overjumped me...
Hag Sameah and a nice Seder
Hedwig
