Dear Hedwig - I'm most honored that you included me among the Juedische Frauen
in der bildenden Kunst & would very much love to be able to hop over
to Vienna in
June to meet you and others. Am afraid this year I'm fairly grounded
from travel,
as I'm working on a large exhibition of my photographs,a retrospective
selection
from the past twenty some odd years that will take place at the
Picker Gallery at
Colgate University. Any of you who might find yourself in upstate New York on
October 28th, are welcome to attend .
But I'm saving up my frequent flyer miles to come visit you in Haifa
one of these days -
meanwhile I send a recently scanned photo of my parents Etka (Strum)
and Simon Neuman
with my sister Paula, Czernowitz 1938, In his amazing photo research
Hardy recently came
up with a photo of my parents - since so little of our family
documentation survived the war -
it seemed like a miracle! Since I was born in August of 1941 no baby
pix exist of me.
