There is often a lot more in Hardy's so called "chochmes" than in many
weighty and dreary volumes. Hardy's words are a wonderful combination
of heart and mind and are characteristic of the best timeless Jewish
discourse. I for one always await his words, whether they give life
and meaning to a photo or wryly frame a topic of discussion. And they
don't even prevent me from looking up the facts presented in those
"serious" studies when I feel the urge.
