It would be interesting to compile a list of our ancestors and the towns and villages from which they moved to Czernowitz. This information could be
supplemented by the 1910 census. The academic interest in the Jewish
population of Czernowitz is growing. Currently there are two doctoral
students, one Ukrainian, the other Polish, in Chernivtsi, searching and
studying the archives in an attempt to decide on the topic of their
dissertations. Both of them previously participated in work-camps to clear
the Jewish cemetery of weedy vegetation.
