Trying to categorize people, always leaves many holes.
Not knowing Romanian, does not matter, even our parents, born in
Czernowitz
at the beginning of the 20th century, often did not know Romanian.
Some of them were actually very proud of this.
Having been born after WW2 is definitely forgivable, also an advantage.
Not reciting Schiller, a great mistake! Definitely a better poet than
Mayakovski.
Kalman operettas, even though beloved by many Czernowitzers, in my
opinion,
nothing to be proud of.
