Sorry,Hardy...but the ex-Sudetenland is part of the Czech republic and was
the area populated by the Sudeten Germans...who were used by Hitler as an
excuse to invade.The capital was called Reichenberg,now called Liberec and
is the first place I lived in on leaving Czernowitz!! Schlesien...Silesia
in English..was Germany but a large part was given to Poland by Stalin at
the end of the war in exchange for bits of Poland stolen by him. Cornel
