Czernowitzers...
The following has been added to the website:
1. From Ruth Glasberg Gold - the story of How Transnistira was added to
the map of concentration camps at the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Wahington
D.C. (photos and documents and story).
>From the Menu: Stories, Histories & Documents -> Item #43 or directly
at: http://czernowitz.ehpes.com/stories/ruth-trans/
2. Peter Elbau writes: Attached a challenge for a very gifted
translator. The poem, the hymn, is from the first jewish author and poet
in the Bukowina, Moritz Amster (13.2.1831 - 27.9.1903).
>From the Menu: Stories, Histories, & Documents -> Item #44 or directly

Perhaps someone wishes to contribute a translation? If so we will post
it.
--- Just a note in passing... I'm adjusting the 'Menu' as a function of the feedback I've received. You'll notice that some things have been put back the way they were originally.... 'Stories...' and 'The Museum' and the Cookbooks are back on the Main Menu on the home page. I'm working on the Cemetery pages, and that will be put back on the Menu also. Some of the changes I made were good, some not so good. Most of the de-construction is in the area of 'Content from List Members'. I'm slowly sorting things out after years of sloppy filing <g>. Suggestions welcome. In case you were looking for the Popovici pages, they are now in 'Stories, Histories..' Item #45. The following is in the queue in the order that they are being worked on: 1. Czernowitz Cemetery Pages. 2. Update Cornel Fleming's Family History pages 3. Start Andy Halmay's pages 4. Add chapters to Sidi Kassner's 'Siberian Memories' If there are materials that you've sent that have fallen through the cracks, let me know.
