A smaller version of our exhibit was on display in Radautz from July 2010
until September 2010. It included 16 large photographs and 4 text panels in
English.

The exhibition in Radautz was shown in the lobby of the Gerald's Hotel, an
Austrian owned 4 Star Hotel, right next to the city hall at the city park.
Our exhibit there was therefore more aimed at international visitors and
tourists to the Bucovina. Most tourists that come nowadays to Radautz are
guided bus groups of German, Austrian or Israeli visitors, who often travel
not only to the Bucovina but also to many other parts of Romania. Last
Summer dozens of these bus groups lodged at the Gerald's and we got some
very positive reactions from hotel guests by email.

Because of the hotels central location, and because it is one of the more
upscale places for Radautz standards at least, many higher local officials
and businesspeople eat lunch at the restaurant and drink at the bar.

Dorin Fr=E4nkel, may his sole be blessed, was of course with us at the open=
ing
and I think was quite happy that this part of Romania's history was
addressed in Radautz, although at a secure location where we did not need
any approval from city officials (which can be very hard to get, not only i=
n
Romania but also for Holocaust Memorials in Austria, for instance).

While ordinary Romanians probably wont see an exhibition inside a 4 star
hotel, our exhibition in Bucharest is aimed to be more visible for
Romanians, and not only for tourists.
