Hi Mimi,
That tablecloth was done with DMC-crochet-cotton, I did also such handwork,
but only small ones for the "Vitrine"such big ones were at my grandmother
eating-room, only for beauty......that was modern before WWl.
After WW l were modern Kelim needle-work,with wool, after WW2 in Roumania,
every girl or woman was sitting at the radio and doing with crochet the long
braide, than put on a model and made with needle some links between the
cords...this work was named "Macramee"some of them I did are laying in my
livingroom...
I wish to put a question...
Why the women once upon the time had time to go to work, to cook, to go to
concerts, to make handworks, to read, to educate the children and also time
for love...Are the days shorter now?????
