Michael,
Before you go, you can obtain the microfilm numbers of interest online.
Start here:
http://www.shtetlinks.jewishgen.org/sadgura/ReischToronto.html
Go to part I.C. And click on the links of interest to the Family History
Library catalog.
The records are primarily in German, until sometime after WWI when they
are in Romanian. Some of the early records are in Latin.
Go only to the Jewish Records! I've wasted many hours looking through
Church records for Radauti and Czernowitz only to find nothing (except
possibly for a convert or two).
For 1930-1933, the records are all together for all religions. There is a
specific link for 1930-1930 records. (Ignacio Sternberg discovered the
bit of information, and found valuable Jewish records in this group.)
Some of the Sadagora records are on the same films as Czernowitz records.
If you haven't already ordered the microfilms you wish to view, you'll
have to place an order tomorrow and return in 2-3 weeks when the films
arrive. You can reserve these films for 3 weeks, 6 weeks, or put them on
permanent loan. It depends on what you are willing to pay! The films can
only be used on site, and you can usually make prints of interesting
records using equipment at the family history library.
Good luck!
Bruce
