Wow!!!!!! That "alley" is breath taking! I don't recall ever seeing such beauty in Cz. That must be a contemporary picture.
I recall a woodsy park with a big grassy clearing in which I learned to ride a bike. There was no such thing as training wheels in those days. I watched other kids riding and when I got the sense that I would know how to do it, I just got on the bike and started to ride. When I neared the trees at the edge of the clearing I didn't know how to turn and so I kind of jumped off the bike and skinned my knees.
Then I watched how kids would turn by leaning left or right and when I sensed that I could "feel" it in my mind, I got on the bike again and rode it, making turns when needed. That is my only recollection of a park in Cz. Of course, those magnificent trees would have been little seedlings at that time, close to 80 years ago.
