Czernowitzers...
>From an article, headlined "Hundstage am Pruth - Dog Days on the River Pruth" (p. 7) of "today's" weekend edition of "Der Tag", i. e. 13.08.1933/2011
http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/
we learn, that our ancestors had the choice to visit four Pruth lidos in the year 1933:
1. Volksbad - The lido for the ambitious and sportive visitor.
2. Mamaia - The most popular lido for everyone.
3. Venetia - The cultivated lido for the middle class.
4. Gänsehäufel - The exclusive lido for the aristocracy.
In order to illustrate the bathing season at the Pruth lidos, I released some pictures (Additional photos are highly welcome!) at our Ehpes.com Blog:

But there is the other side of the coin too, as we'll learn at the end of August, summarizing the casualties as a result of a huge number of bathing accidents.
