I am not aware of any literature on the architecture of Kishinev
synagoues, but three of the foremost experts on the Jewish
architecture of the region are Alla Sokolova, Boris Khaimovich, and
Sergei Kravtsov (the latter two live in Israel) . Below is a short
list of references that might be relevant. The first book is mostly
about an architecturally and decoratively interesting synagogue on
Brauhausgasse in Czernowitz, but it also has materials on other
synagogues in Southern Bukovina and Romanian Moldavia:
Boris Khaimovich, "The Work of Our Hands to Glorify. Murals of Beit
Tfila Benyamin Synagogue in Chernovtsy". Kiev: Dukh i litera, 2008
(ISBN 978-966-378-080-1)
Alla Sokolova, "The Podolian Shtetl as Architectural Phenomenon", in
"The shtetl: image and reality", Eds. Gennady Ėstraikh and Mikhail
Krutikov, Oxford: Legenda, 2000
Alla Sokolova, "Synagogues and Dwelling Houses in the Shtetls of
Podolia", in "Historic cities and sacred sites: cultural roots for
urban futures", Eds. Ismail Serageldin, Ephim Shluger, Joan
Martin-Brown, Washington: World Bank Publications, 2001
Alla Sokolova, "Shtetl houses and synagogues: From the history of
architecture to stories about architectural monuments", in "Jewish
architecture in Europe", Eds. Aliza Cohen-Mushlin and Harmen H. Thies,
Michael Imhof Verlag, 2009
Sergey Kravtsov, “Jewish Identities in Synagogue Architecture of
Galicia and Bukovina”, Ars Judaica, 2010, 6, 81–100.

I just began my research and now I try to collect all the existing information. Unfortunately, it is very little information about Bessarabia synagogues. I know that you are researcher of Jewish heritage in Bukovina. Prof. Ruth Enis kindly advised me to contact you. Maybe you have some information about Bessarabia, or about other researchers in this field. I would be very grateful to you, I am very interested in any information on this subject. It is very important for me. I was born in Kishinev (that's why I chose this topic), but since last year I live in Haifa. I speak Russian, Romanian, English and Hebrew. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. I am looking forward to hearing from you."
