Christian's photographs of Czernowitz, are as usual of high quality and
enrich our knowledge of Czernowitz.

Photograph #15 (count from upper left along the rows) is of the house
on, what is now Shkilna #14, formerly Strada General Prezan, before that
Schullgasse. I believe that in 1941, while in the ghetto, I stayed in the
building opposite this one, in Str. General Prezan, #13.

Does anyone remember this building?
I do not, but then, I do not think I was much outside, on the street and
A four year old, is not likely to look this high up.
I checked the address book for 1936 and some of the people who lived
in this building are:
 Goldmann, Paul
 Kommer, Leo Oscar
 Kommer, Emil
