[Cz-L] request assistance

I am new to this site and would like any assistance possible. According to
the elders in my family, my grand mother's (Henriette Glasberg) family
owned a brewery in Czernowitz for many generations. {No, we are not related to
Ruth Glasberg Gold} All the elders are deceased now so I wrote to the
Czernowitz archives and the response stated that the Glasberg family that
owned a brewery was unknown as well as the names of my grandmother and her
brother David. How can this be? My grandmother moved to Kuty when she married
but her brother and his heirs owned the brewery until before WWII. Can
anyone tell me where to search next: I have read everything online about
Czernowitz that I could find.
