I have acquired a fascinating historical item. It is a booklet with grey
card cover. These handbooks were produced for the use of delegates of the 32
Allied nations at the Paris Peace Conference which convened in Jan.1919 with
the aim of securing future world peace and lasted just over a year. The
conference concluded a no of treaties...but the remaking of the world map at
the conference gave birth to a no of critical conflict-prone international
contradictions, which would lead to and fuel WW2. The conference also led to
the toothless League of Nations. The reports were classified
"confidential" and covered the geography, economic conditions and political
history of the territory concerned. My copy originated from the Australian
Prime Minister who was a delegate....and the title is "BUKOVINA" .....it
is dated Feb 1919. Cornel
