[Cz-L] Sidy Thal Commemoration 1912 - 1992!

Czernowitzers...

In "yesterday's" edition of "Der Tag", i. e. 10./11.09.1933/2011, p. 7, we read another enthusiastic article on Sidy Thal, performing "Die Schikerte". Sidy Thal was born on September 8, 1912 as Sorele Birkenthal in Czernowitz. On the occasion of Sidy Thal's 80th anniversary in the year 1992, Czernowitz commemorated it's famous actress with a musical, opened by the famous late Yiddish writer Josef Burg. This musical has been broadcasted by a local TV station and now by me for you at our Ehpes.com Blog:
