Dear all,
I agree with Mimi. Getting an agreement between the city hall and all involved organizations looks much more promising to me.
@Hardy: The French philosopher Camus wrote 'we must imagine Sisyphos as a happy person'. He was right.
This would be my list:
1. two volunteer services involved
2. public conciousnes raised by media reports
3. parts of the cemetery already cleared
4. Jewish museum, Hessed Shushana and university involved
5. one long term volunteer involved
6. organization for the renewal of the cemetery founded
7. visitors benefited from the progress
8. visitors realize that they are not the only ones who are concerned
9. beeing able to network in the city
10. young people from the city joined the volunteers
11. volunteers learned a lot about Czernowitz and Judaism and spread all over the world what they experienced
12. two master thesis writen
So, is the glas half empty or half full? Knowing that both is true I concentrate myself on the half full glas and try to encourage everyone to continue. I never expected all problems would be solved in a short time.
Christian
