Hi Ellen,
we lived after 1851 in Ploiesti and we had friends, the dentist Uscher and
his wife, as I remember her name Cilla. Even I have a photo from the noce of
my son Paul, 1973, where they were too...Cilla died after a surgery,he died
also, onr or two years before we made the Allyia to Israel in 1982.They had
no children, but as I remember, he had a brother and a nephew, one of them a
musician, who left Roumania for Israel, as I remember...
By the way, I had at the highschool in Czernowitz a teacher for french,
Ms.Gruenspan, a relative perhaps??

Hi, I found the name Iacov Uscher, dentist, in the 1936 Czernowitz City
Directory. My great grandfather was married to Elizabeth Uscher from
Czernowitz and I was wondering if I have located a possible relative. Does
anyone know of this dentist? His address is listed as 103 Hotinului. I
