It was a regular not very fashionable hospital, rather intimate and cozy.. I
played in its garden very often because I was taken along by my grandfather
for frequent visits, he was the mashgiah kashrut there .I had a little
friend there, Donja Schaetzmann, who was the daughter of the head
housekeeper. Donja is here my next door neighbor and right now I am very
worried about her health.
Donja's brother, Poldi Schaetzmann was the musical director at the Habimah
for many years. He is no longer alive.He had many friends so maybe some of
you remember him. He was an excellent accordionist.
