Dear Mimi,

Thank you for addressing this very important topic. Over a number of several years the Czernowitz Regional Archives were working on the translation and edition of 194 letters from Transnistria, desperate and heart-touching requests for help; I've seen personally some of those letters. Finally, at the beginning of this year, I learned from my Czernowitzer friends from inside the archives, that the translation job was done. But now, a few days ago, on 31.10.2011, the prestigious Swiss newspaper NZZ reported, that the intended publication has been cancelled and only financial resources for a Hebrew edition will be made available by Yad Vashem:

I do hope that an alternative publishing house will be identified and therefore I asked my contacts for an update.

Warmest wishes!
