[Cz-L] New Biography and translation request.

Although I havebeen a member of the group for a while I have never introduc=
ed myself.=20
This is my familybio. Kindly see if any of the names arefamiliar to you or=
 how I might dig a little further. Please also consider my translation req=
uest.

I was born in Brooklyn in 1951 and presently work a psychotherapist here.=

My mother,Teomila Trachtenbrod, was from Czernowitz (b-1912) and lived with=
 her parentsJacob and Anna (nee Liquornik) at 11 Russischegasse. Jacobs mo=
ther was Moscovis. My father, Isak Liquornik, was from Kolomyyaand lived a=
t 5 Bajzera. His mother=E2=80=99s name was Hacker daughter of Sender.=20

My parents werecousins who never saw each other, being in separate counties=
, Poland andRomania. During WW2 they were each inUzbekistan. After the wa=
r, they wrote to my father=E2=80=99s brother Dovid, whowas hidden in a bas=
ement for two years. He told my father to help my mother who was very ill. =
He went to her,they got married and since they had relatives in the US they=
 emigrated to NewYork in 1948.

I have handeddown to me, an ancestor tree that traces my ancestors to the f=
irst known rabbiin Sadagura, Joseph Moshe Liquornik. His son Yeshia was the=
 second rabbi. Theylived in the late 1700's and early 1800's. Joseph Moshe =
was buried in Israel in 1808(somewhere; how might I search?).=20

My great uncleMoritz Liquornik was a Czernowitz government functionary and =
wrote a book of the history Czernowitz, which endedin 1943, with his death=
. I recently bought it at auction. It is 60 pageslong. It is in German and =
never published. I am looking for a translator.

There is a wellknown German writer and poet Alfred Gong who was born Alburt=
 Liquornik inCzernowitz, in 1920. He was friends with Paul Celan and Immanu=
elWeissglas. During, and after WW2 helived Vienna where he was a critic an=
d writer. He wrote his main works in theUS where he arrived in 1951. I don=
=E2=80=99tknow if he has any descendants or is definitely related to me.
