Just got an e-mail from a friend (Edy Kula) whose mother, _Adele Hecht
_was an enthusiastic member of the group. He remembers that she told him
how Steinbarg had praised and encouraged her. And life, being what it
isto some, it did not help, nor did the war.
I knew a couple, _Gandelman_, who lived in Curacao and had a jewellery
shop in the airport in Aruba. Nice people.
As to_Fuhrman,_ there were many in Czernowitz.
As to _Dina Koenig,_ as I wrote sometime ago, I was about 14 years old
when I saw her in a wonderfully funny play in Bucharest. She ran around
with a round box in a doctor's waiting-room, offering everybody sweets.
"Nimmt a bonbonkale" It was in Jiddish which at the time I didn't know
too well, but she was so expressive and funny we just laughed and laughed.
_Leibu Lewin_, everyone in Israel knows him, his daughter has continued
in her father's footsteps.
_Lerner_ - could it be the painter? Who knows more? Hedwig or Hardy?
