Hardy...
Excellent point and in addition consistent with my late father's recollection on this subject! However - after all that I read - I personally would like to exclude Dr. Traian Popovici from these suspicions.
Related to the issuance of the so-called Popovici Authorizations and/or Calotescu Authorizations respectively, let me raise the following questions to ALL MEMBERS OF OUR GROUP, who learned about the surrounding circumstances from their ancestors/relatives:
1. Are you aware of bribes (funds, jewellery, factories, companies, etc.) in favor of Governor General Corneliu Calotescu?
2. Are you aware of such bribes in favor of Lieutenant Stere Marinescu, the Head of the Office of Jewish Affairs II in Czernowitz?
3. Do you or did your ancestors/relatives have any recollection of Dr. Dr. Fritz Gebhard Schellhorn, the German Consul General in Czernowitz?
Any information would be highly appreciated, as it would poss. facilitate further researches!
Hardy, thank you for your mail and thank you all in advance for your contributions!
