My name is Harry Jarvis, I speak Yiddish, German, Roumanian, French
and Italian. I have traced my family back to 1775 as an active member
of the British Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain and my
last article has just appeared in their journal called "Shemot" but
you are able to access others which Jerome has placed under
"Stories, Histories&Documents" 32-32c" or on the internet under
"Albin Eisenstein" We are not "Sephardim" and my father told me that I
was a Cohen. During my life I have circumnavigated the globe more than
once to visit relatives in the USA from Vancouver to Uruguay, from
Canada to L.A. etc etc. I was of course born in Czernowitzand have
described my lifelong attachment to the town and its present
activities.
Modesty forbids to write more as self praise is no praise.
