[Cz-L]Thanks to Jerome, Merle and all the list Czernowitzers

 
Jerome: I agree with Merl that you are truly amazing. I accessed
the website of the Czernowitz art collection and saw some very
impressive art work.
    
I must tell you that I joined the Czernowitz mailing list because
I wanted to know more about the native city of my father,
Dr. Charles (Karl) Steinhauser. Although he moved to the U.S.
with his family at age 10, my dad had vivid memories of
Czernowitz, including the "gymnasium" and family life.
    
 I had been curious for years how what I had envisioned as just a
quaint little town was the native city of so many talented artists
writers, musicians, opera stars, etc.. In fact, I had hopes of
traveling there to find out for myself. until I discovered the
Cornell list and it was the next best thing to being there.
 
I know I haven't really contributed anything to the dialogue,
but just reading what you all are doing to perpetuate
 Dad's beloved Czernowitz-Bukovina brings me closer to him.
