Re: [Cz-L] Silence is Golden

I wrote something when I joined the group but I really had nothing to add to
the wonderful information that is being provided. I am at a disadvantage
because I've never been anywhere near Czernowitz and no family members who
were born there are still alive. My father was the youngest brother of 6
and he died when I was 11 years old. So now that I'm older and very
interested in family history, I don't have any connections. I am amazed at
how much you all know and I really enjoy reading your messages.
I hope that one day I'll be able to find my grandmother's grave and perhaps
some information from somebody who knew my family.
Just in case here are the names:

My grandparents: Malka Bruckenthal and Hersch Neufeld
Their children were Emanuel, Jesse, Phebus, Hennye, Tony, Willy (my father)
Neufeld.
Emanuel died in Israel, Jesse in Maryland, Hennye and Tony in New York,
Phebus in Colombia and my father Willy died in Lima, Peru (which is where I
was born).
My grandmother Malka died in Czernowitz approx. 1929 and my grandfather died
in Peru.
I know that Malka had two brothers, David and Leon and I don't know anything
about any of them or their descendants.

And to finish with my re-introduction, I am a happily divorced woman, mother
of 4 great children ages 29, 28, 27, 22, and 2 grandchildren ages 7 and 3
months old. I emigrated to Canada from my native Peru in 1976. I am
fortunate to have my 92 year old mother living with me.
