Dear Anny,
What a beautiful way of recalling this event!!!! Reading your words, I can
imagine you at the balcony so very vividly!
Thank you so much.
Do you remember if this visit took place in May 1933?
Warm regards,

Hi all,
I think I wrote about it a long time ago. When King CarolII and his son
Mihai visited Cz. I was 7years old and on my birthday!!!! too. We went to
one of my parent's friends on the Siebenbuergerstr. (Stefan cel Mare Str.)
and stood on their balcony. I must have been the smallest because I stood
at the railing. I think everyone was out on the streets waving flags and,
after hours of waiting, there came the open car - there MY King sat in
it with his handsome son -. It was one the greatest days in my life never
to be forgotten. I was much too young to know any better and, maybe,
because those were my happy, carefree, wonderful days -as we always say
it's all in our minds, that's where memories live - and we were "Stragerile
Regelui" (The King's youth army), we wore white blouses and blue pleated
skirts with an emblem on our left arm. For me "those were the days my
friend we thought they'll never end.....", but they so soon did.
The city was bathed in sunshine and there was shouting "long live the King"
(The Rumanian hymn started with "Traiasca Regele".
