In Czernowitz there was a saying:
" Gestorben, bagruben , af jener Welt wie gefinen "
  and in English :
"Deceased, interred , in the other world as (newly) found".
I was too young then to go into the depth of this remark -was it
cynical,
    humoristic or folklore ?
Does some of you know ?

Czernowitzers...

The Czernowitzer daily newspaper "Der Tag - The Day" released over the years
1932 - 1935 articles on deaths, funerals, headstone erections, memorial
ceremonies, suicides, murders, as well as obituaries and acknowledgements,
wich we extracted and published for you at

http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/p/dead-gone-index.html

and for April 1934 at the bottom of

http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/p/dead-gone-1934.html

covering - in alphabetical order - the following cases of death:

Gerson Aptowicz
Helene Behrmann (Schnee)
Menasche Bolechower
Bernhard Braunstein
Nicolai Cernusca
Julius Greculessi
Sophie Großmann
Gisela Körner (Fliegler)
Sylvia Lutwak
Johann Mach
Adolf Maidanek
Israel Margulies
Hedwig Mogelnicki
Jeanette Pitzinger
Dr. Eusebie Popovici
Meschulim Rosenrauch
Stefan Rotariu
Arthur Schärf
Jakob Schechter
Mindel Selzer
Dr. Maximilian Sternberg
Alexander Tabacar
Constantin Velehorschi

It wouldn't be reverent to mention "Enjoy the section Dead & Gone!", but
however enjoy the potential results of your reasearch!
