[Cz-L] Czernowitz people in Belgium

Dear Listers

On the trail of my father Julius Suknowicz who came from Czernowitz to Brussels in the late 20s we came across the website www.genami.org which has lists of Jewish surnames for Belgium and France, in which he is listed. The site is in French and English.

I have extracted those names which give the birthplace of Czernowitz or Cernauti and list them below. We have a set of pre-war photos showing my father and his friends, whom we are unable to identify. You can see them on my blog here http://kosmyryk.typepad.com/wu_wei/friends-in-brussels-1920s.html. Maybe some of the friends are identifiable.

I don't know whether any other listers' relatives made similar travels.

There doesn't seem to be any more information other than a list of surnames, with birth dates and places and it's not clear who prepared the list, when or for what purpose.
