Hi all, it is amazing, how you all are searching the ethymology from words,
which, in my opinion are not very interesting, but do you know where was the
"Strich", the "line" you could find the Chontes??? It was in the
Hurmuzackigasse between the Paraschiva-Church and the Mehlplatz. My class
mate Mizzi Melzer lived there and she told me that in the evenings it is
horrible to go out, the chontes are going, up and down to the Hauptstrasse
waiting for clients...May be you youngster, who were than young boys, know
other places???
Regards
Hedwig
