Regarding the search for records - I'd suggest that the surnames
Smolenziuk and Moseruk are/were Ruthenian/Ukrainian in origin, while the
surnames Hack, Hacker and Hacken appear among Jewish records. Perhaps
there was a conversion to Judaism somewhere in your family?
The Bukovina-Gen mailgroup focuses on German, Romanian and Ruthenian
genealogy from Bukovina. You might post the surnames of your family to
that group (or a message just like the one below) and see what folks there
might suggest.
