The first days of the of Romanian-German reoccupation in 1941 were days of
massacres of the Jews all over Bucovina and Bessarabia therefore mass graves
from these "events" can be found in every place where Jews lived. By the way
Aharon Apfelfeld's origin is Drajinetz (Drachyntsi).

Subject: [Cz-L] Koctyntsi & Drachyntsi
Yesterday I took a walk in the Bukovina and I found two mass graves. I only
know the ukrainian names of the villages: Koctyntsi & Drachyntsi.
Do somebody know something about the villages? They are in the west of
Czernowitz and Koctyntsi is really small.
I hope somebody can help me
Leonie
