I also remember a radio jingle..and my Romanian is non-existent as is my
spelling. The jingle was "Focul nu se respendeste,unde Minimax
pazeste"...and I would appreciate a translation! Cornel

Oka - for liquids about a pint : Give me two Oka of milk
Halbe also in Rumanian halba , half a liter of beer ,
  Zentner - 50 kg
  Deka -100 grams ?
   Undefined quantity:
     Mayontek - a lot - used for money
     Zhmenye - used for solids - a heap
