Thank-you, Edgar, for your post.

As a non-Cz Bukovinian descendant, I am always thrilled to see photos of the towns where my grandmother, her siblings, parents, aunts & uncles and cousins lived and died. Vatra Dornei & Vatra Candreni are two of those locales for many of the RUBINGERs & HOCHSTADTs including my cousin and group member, Felicia Steigman Carmelly. [FYI - Wiznitz, Millie & Putila also figure in.]

We have two cousins in Vatra - Beila Rubinger, [about 75 years old] and her daughter, Perla Bereznitzki, [about 50 years old and a physician]. There are only 3-4 other Jews, all women, left in Vatra.
