WOW! Almost 55 minutes of coverage!

Such great went on events in Radauti !

Of course the postings complement each-other.

Otherwise - I could have missed you in the crowd…

I’m glad you met Prof. Lia Benjamin and the other important scholars who study the history of Rumanian Jews. It is a great honor to have her picture on our Bukovinaer site.

Have you attended the Symposium? Can you tell us more about it?

What really touched me, were the beautiful girls singing Hebrew songs!

I got wet eyes,I don’t know why?

Thanks,

Irene

Czernowitzers, Radautzers...

Seventeenth stage of my motorcycle (return) journey to Germany/The Netherlands, making an essential stop-over in Radauti - Jewish Culture Highlights in Radauti! You'll find two different postings - my personal view and the media coverage - on these events to complement each other:

http://hauster.blogspot.ro/2012/07/jewish-culture-highlights-in-radauti.html

http://ehpes.com/blog1/2012/07/26/jewish-culture-highlights-in-radau%c8%9bi-media-coverage/

The events took place under the patronage of Dr. Aurel Vainer, Senator and President of the FCER (Federation of the Romanian Jewish Communities) and - BTW - a relative of our fellow member Miha Ahronovitz (Best wishes to you on behalf of Aurel, Miha!)

Dr. Janina Ilie (FCER) did a tremendous job in establishing the Jewish Museum of Radauti. The exhibition "Jewish Life in Southern Bukovina", expressively created by Dr. Anca Ciuciu (FCER), is an outstanding highlight and we are looking forward to having it online soon!

Finally, my special thanks go to our fellow member Bondy Stenzler, who played an important role in attracting my attention for the events and followed-up the media coverage!

Enjoy the postings!
