I attended the "improvised" school in the building of the Toynbeehalle
organized by the the Jewish Kultusgemeinde (entrance from the Tuerkengasse).
I do not remember whether you Berti also were there, but Hardy was not. I
remember only Fredi Schneider (actually I should say Prof. Emeritus Fred
Schneider).

Right, and before that we were allowed to pass examinations for two
classes we could not
follow in 1941/2 and 1942/3, received certificates for passing, and
some continued
to learn until spring 1944 (most did not because the classrooms were
overcrowded and the
the Russian army was approaching). The Soviets did not care about that
school and let everybody
go to the grade he/she wanted to - just regrading those who could not
follow according to their
achievements until June 1944 (3 month of classes).
