This happens all the time. Once "they" hack your qccount, everyone with
whom you have ever had contact will get annoying emails. Google mail seems
to be better protected; I have had various yahoo accounts and it was only a
matter of time before they got in but my gmail has remained uncompromised.
Once it happened, the only thing there seemed to do was close the account,
after directing everyone to a new account.
