Well, if we are already speculation what would have happen if ...

If the Emperor didn't react on the assassination by starting a war
(which nowadays wouldn't happen as states would settle such
conflicts differently) the WWI maybe wouldn't start.
A revolution in Russia maybe would still have happened some time
later if the conditions wouldn't have improved there.
The Germans probably would have missed the pretext to join a war,
which would not have started by the Austrians. The German Kaiserreich
would continue with some adjustments to modernity, no defeat would
be used by the Nazis, should they evolve, to mobilize the masses
in Germany for the next war and to indoctrinate them the way that Jews
were responsible for the defeat, the crisis, virtually for all misfortunes.
Millions of our people would have survived as no Shoahwould have
taken place, probably.

The problem was that "our" Emperor thought that he and his kind were
superior people (L'Etat c'est moi) which were entitled to war already
because of one assassination, while other people would have to get
to a court and listen to a decision of a judge.
