Dear Mordehai,
The pictures I take almost all from 2 Live Journal Czernowitzer blogs.
I can give you the link adresses if you wish.
I also have a link to a Czernowitz street view map where I can=20
navigate to almost any given adress .
I am more than happy that you found "your" house.
And having made your evening too.
Hardy

Dear Hardy,
=20
You made my and my cousins evening!!! This was the home of a =
greatuncle and greataunt of mine, in which a large number of our large =
family (from Czernowitz as well as from Gura Humorului) were gathered in =
the crucial first week of the Ghetto, in quite a substantial crowdiness =
(imagine two scores or more in the two rooms and corridors of this small =
house), awaiting a fate we knew nothing about, except rumours. It was =
like the eve of Yom Hadin - the unlucky half were ultimately sent to =
Transnistria and the more lucky half, including my parents, remained in =
Czernowitz on the Popovici permit, to work in the small factories there. =
I have not seen this house for about 67 years (since we were repatriated =
from Czernowitz in April 1945). My younger cousins who were born here =
have not even seen it, and only heard about it from their grandparents =
and parents. Thanks!!!
=20
Where do you find these pictures?
=20
Best regards
=20
Mordecai
