Hi,

I just translated the "Lexicon of the Yiddish Theatre" biography of
Zechariah Avraham Doyber, a native of Cheremosh, Bukovina. It is a small
biography (one column), but for all of you who would like to learn more
about native Bukoviners, you might like to read it. The Doyber bio is one of
nearly 2,100 biographies (of nearly 2,900) that exist in Zylbercweig's
seven-volume book with the aforementioned name.

If you find any blatant spelling errors in my translation, feel free to tell
me specifically what was spelled wrong, and what the correct spelling is.

The link to the webpage of my Bukovina translations is
http://www.museumoffamilyhistory.com/yt/lex-bukovina.htm . There are twenty
translations here in all.

The link to the master list of all those translated biographies is
http://www.museumoffamilyhistory.com/yt/lex-biography.htm .

You can read about such Yiddish actors as Jacob P. Adler, Ludwig Satz, Aron
Lebedeff, Muni Weisenfreund (Paul Muni), as well as Yiddish writers such as
Scholem Asch, David Pinski, Peretz Hirshbein, and many more. The links are
all arranged alphabetically.

Happy New Year!

Best,
Steve Lasky
