[Cz-L] Suceava <-> Czernowitz

Suceava to Chernivtsi
I have found a bit of info here and there about how to get from Suceava
 Romania toChernivtsi Ukraine, via Siret, using informal means, but most of
 what I have found including that on this forum is old. I have emailed the
 local tourist agency in Suceava but did not get a reply.

 We will not have a car ourselves. I have decided against going by train or
 bus, since I have read repeatedly that the best way to go is by private
 van,
 or 'maxitaxi', or through a transport service tour agency. Supposedly
 there
 are vans you can find behind a food market in Suceava, and they will take
you to Chernivtsi for 10$ or Euros or something like that.
Does anyone have any current knowledge on if this is so? Is this something
 we could count on as means of getting to Chernivtsi?

 Does this happen all day?
 Does anyone have more specific information, such as the location of the
 food
 market?
 How long should it take? We would be crossing on a Wednesday the end of
 July.

    I don't see why would the vans stop running.

  They could be found (mainly in the morning) in the parking lot and side
  streets aroundSuceava's main market (Piata Mare), which is located at 7
  Petru Rares street.

  Getting to Chernivtsi should take 2-4 hours, depending on how busy it is
  at

    I took a taxi from Chernivtsi to Suceava a couple of years ago.
 No dramas- they leave from each end in the morning and afternoon

    I ask for details from experienced people because I would like to see at
  least one of the Painted Monasteries while we are there it would be a
  shame
  to miss, but we need to get over the border to meet family in Kolomyya,
  Ukraine, hopefully not too late in the day. We will be in Suceava at 7:00
  in
 the morning.

 I would not be able to relax at the Monasteries if I am worrying about
  what
  time it is getting to be but if I know there are different options then I
  will not worry.

  I have been in touch with a tour guide who will take us out to Voronet and
  then toChernivtsi for ~180 USD, more than I want to spend.

  If taxis are ~ 2 RON/km then currently that would not cost us more than 30
  USD to go from anywhere the Bucovina region to Chernivtsi. That is if the
  taxis find someone in Chernivtsi who wants to go back, otherwise they will
  not make the trip if they have to return with no passengers. That is why I
  didn't think we could take a taxi...but there must be plenty of people in
  Ukraine who will do that.
