I do not remember seeing any English movies in 1945.
I remember seeing a lot of Russian movies, particularly:
"The Stone flower", "The Jaz Party" and a number of war movies.
In one of the war movies, the Russians set a sea, or river on fire,
by spilling gasoline on it and igniting it.
"The Jaz Party" is a wonderful movie, I have seen it also recently.
If anyone remembers the song "Sertzeh, Sertzeh" it is from this movie.

The first movie I ever saw was about a giant who ate children,
"ein Menschenfresser". Does anyone remember this movie?
It gave me neightmares for a long time.
