Hi, David,
On strada Petrovici there was only one "Liceu" i.e., Liceul Emanuel
Grigorovitza(without the word "modern"). I was there (grades 1-3) ; it was
indeed considered a private high school.

Dear Leo,

I am glad that you and Marianne have undertaken such an interesting project!

Your question B3 asked about the curriculum of secondary schools in the
inter-war period. It occurs to me that the printed school report forms will

give a complete list of the subjects taught. I have a report of my mothers
from the "Liceul Oltea Doamna" (which I recently discovered!), and I have
several of my uncle Leander from the "Liceul Modern Emanoil Grigorovitza",
and also from the "Liceul Real Particular cu dreptul de publicitate" in
Strada Petrovici. And I also have one of my uncle's from the Komenius
primary school, "Vierklassige Comenius-Volksschule", although that was not a

secondary school.

Would these be of interest to you?

Best regards,

David
