Yes . Three out of ten survived.
They died mostly very early - before they were two.
  Were the survivors the best choice ? Who can say.
   But they were the most resilient.
   Of what did they die ?
    Respiratory , digestive , and mostly ignorance.
     In 1880 the people lived with their noses in the air
     but their minds were in the black middle ages.
