In answer to Hardy's message: I think that we should not wait to act
until
the Tempel building is damaged or further altered to accommodate some
new mercantile use. In my opinion it is better to forestal such a
possibility,
rather than act retroactively.

Members of this list who are American citizens, please volunteer to
write
to the US Commission for the Preservation of Americas Heritage Abroad.
It is not a lot of work. If you do not do it, who will?
And if not now, when?
