No, Mimi, I did not receive a message from Ronald. But last year
about 200 folks in my address book received e-mail purportedly
from me, noting I was stranded in Wales because I couldn't pay
my hotel bill so please would they please send $2,500 so I could
come home.
One of my sons who received the e-mail wrote back
(jokingly, I hope) that he wouldn't send me 25 cents and
as far as he was concerned I could rot in jail. (that's my boy).
And a friend wrote back that he knew it was a scam because
Iris was too cheap to spend more than l0 bucks for a hotel room.
I was however embarrassed because when I explained the
situation to some of my clients who called, no one had
offered to pay thehotel bill.

Mimi, I was also concerned, as you should be, that someone
had invaded my computer and used my address book for the scam
and I immediately reported it to my security protector who
suggested I change my password. You bet !!

I received a message, supposedly from Ronald Banner,
a member of this list, claiming that he is in Manila
and asking for assistance. I strongly believe that this is a scam,
Did anyone else receive a similar Email?
