[Cz-L] Were all Jewish Czernowitzers related?

A few days ago, Edgar Hauster sent us a list of Czernowitzers who died
in November 1934. One of them was Rabbi Jakob Kahane.
Since there are Kahane among my ancestors, I investigated the name on
JewishGen and eventually found that I am related to Jakob Kahane,
also definitely related to one member of this list and most probably also
to two others.
In addition I found out that the principal of the high-school which
I attended in Israel, was also a relative.
I wish I had know this when he threw me out of school for a week, because I
had talked back to one of the teachers and made the whole class laugh.
