I second Bruce's observations... Never was our list hacked into, and I
would suggest that is in no small measure due to not using
HTML/Rich-Text as a means of transporting the list's posts; the great
job Cornell is doing to trap out malicious stuff before it gets
distributed, and the final check by the moderator(s).

I'm a bit less sanguine about the use of Social Media sites than my
boss, but if you're careful and know what you're doing (and that
includes reading and understanding their privacy policies), you should
be just fine.
