Hi Hardy, In 1976 , my late husband and me made a trip with bus from
Ploiesti to Czernowitz..A friend gave us a parcel, a pair of shoos forh is
cousin Rosa..so, from the Hotel Palace, we made the mistake to phone to the
cousin...At 9 o"clock, as we arranged, we were on the same foggy. darkness
like your picture, before the town-hall and waited.. Through the darkness we
saw a person, coming against us.."give it to me", he whispered, my husband
gave him the parcel, and he disappeared...We did not know if it was the
right person...the next day we paid a visit to the family and the son was so
afraid, to be seen by somebody receiving a parcel from strangers, because
the NKGB was after spies...
Yes, it was the same fog and darkness, and nobody on the streets...
